MINNESOTA: Is this the season the Bulls leap past the Celtics in Fridley? | Powell scores 45

The Bulls are off to a 5-0 start this season in Fridley

Fridley, MN- The Celtics of the Fridley Ultimate Hoops League have it all- UH Gold Cup Championships, a brash General Manager in Jonathon Moore and their own Facebook Fan Page.

But teams are taking serious aim at Hot-Tub and the Big Green Machine this season. And the Bulls look to have the biggest bulls-eye on the backs of the Celtics.

The Bulls are off to a 5-0 start this Spring Season led by perennial All-Star guard Roderick Powell who is averaging 30.0 ppg, trailing Respect The Game 2's Michael Wiskus by just 0.4 for the scoring lead in Fridley. Powell had a season-high 45 points in the Bulls 92-77 win over Chaos on Thursday night.

The Bulls are also playing inspired defense this season, currently leading the league in team steals with 8.4 per game.

Will this be the season of the Bulls in Fridley?

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS FROM THURSDAY NIGHT IN FRIDLEY:

- Adam Root had 31 points and 13 rebounds in Noisy Withdrawl's 82-74 win over Respect The Game 2.

- The Greenhorns moved to 5-0 with a balanced scoring attack in their 72-64 win over the Ninja Turtles. The once mighty Ninja Turtles have now dropped to 1-3 on the season and may be falling out of at-large bid contention for the playoffs.

- Josh Hoyle and Tarek Hassan each scored 21 points in the Red Devils 82-76 win over Redemption.

- The Celtics held 62-point man Derek Batiste to "just" 21 points in their 77-66 win over the Avengers.

- Power Forward Toby Frisby almost out-rebounded the entire Ain't Your Day team, finishing with 16 points and 20 rebounds in the Salukis 70-62 win.
