WESTMINSTER, CO: Week 3 Power Rankings | The Top Stays the Same

J Fab doing his thing!

Week 3 Westminster Winter Power Rankings

1. Impact Basketball (3-0; last week 1): No bench equals no problem for Impact Basketball as they move to the 3-0 on the season. Impact dropped over 100 again and were led by Mike Brooks with 32 points and Jimmy Binnie with 31.

2. Hard Work (3-0; last week 2): Defense is the name of the game, and when you hold your opponent to 47 points, there’s a good chance you’re going to win, and that’s what Hard Work did in Week 3, beating The Bad Boys 69-47.

3. The Gladiators (3-1; last week 4): Winning in this league is tough enough, but The Gladiators won BOTH of their games on the night, beating Man Bear Pig and Get Buckets both by double digits.

4. We Goin Sizzler (2-1; last week 5): The geriatric hot spot beat the previously unbeaten Ignite Athletics by a score of 68-57. We Goin Sizzler was led by Dan Stoneberg, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds.

5. Ignite Athletics (2-1; last week 3): Ignite struggled putting the ball in the bucket all night, shooting an ice cold 36% from the field and 23% from deep. They’re still holding strong with a 2-1 record on the season.

6. Slam Drunk (2-1; last week 7): Slam Drunk won what has to be considered the game of the year, beating The Great Unknown 100-98. Gehrick Dickson had his typical night on the court, dropping 33 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

7. The Great Unknown (1-2; last week 6): Unfortunately, in every game, someone has to lose, and The Great Unknown lost a heartbreaker to Slam Drunk 100-98. The Great Unknown were led by TJ Cyriacks who had 45 points on the night.

8. The Bad Boys (0-3; last week 8): The Bad Boys ran in to a tough, defensive-minded Hard Work on Tuesday night, and played some tough D of their own, only to fall behind big early and eventually losing to the undefeated team.

9. The Hoopsters (0-3; last week 9): The Hoopsters outscored the defending champs in the second half, but were unable to overcome a big deficit in the first. The Hoopsters were led by another strong performance from Richard Peterson, who had 21 points and 12 rebounds.

10. Man Bear Pig (0-3; last week 10): Improvements can be seen from Man Bear Pig, as they scored a season high 71 points in their loss Tuesday night. Man Bear Pig had four guys score in double figures in the loss.

11. Get Buckets (0-1; last week N/A): The newest addition to the Westminster Winter League sits behind the eight ball as they try to find chemistry on the fly while the other teams have played at least a couple of games together. They look for their first win next week against Slam Drunk.
