SHELBY REC: Performance Fiber Glass Edge Y-Lie To Win Title | No Encore For Tyrone Jordan

The Championship game was a hard fought battle for both teams. The rematch of 2013 summer and fall championship finale, didn’t disappoint. Y-Lie played hard, and Johnnie Brown shined with 31 points on .68 percent shooting, also Dave Stephens was a big contributor with 23 points of his own and 8 rebounds. Tyrone Jordan had some weight on his shoulders, with talks of going to perform well as he did against Skillz heading into the game, fueled his hunger to prove the critics wrong. It was not a pleasant night for Tyrone Jordan. He made some play finding his guys with 9 assists, but giving his team points was the issues, 2-9 from the field, and 0-5 at the charity stripe doesn’t help at all.
Performances’ Mcknisey Golfin , Bill Treece and Evan Wilson scored above 20 points. It was quite difficult to stop these guys, with their scoring ability they shot very well from the field and Y-Lie really didn’t have an answer. The game in its closing minutes, came down to a crucial sequence. Mcknisey Golfin saved the ball as he was going out of bounds. The play wasn’t whistled dead, Referee believed it was still a live ball, didn’t see from his angle that he was out. With that saved ball, was able to open up a wide open three point shot for Bill Treece. Bill Treece hit the shot, and gave Performance a 3 point lead. Y-Lie came down the court with a empty possession, which then led to a Performance fast break with a and one foul for Bill Treece , to put the knife deeper into Y-Lie.

Performance – 81
Y-Lie- 68

FINAL
