MANSFIELD, TX: Leonard's Top "Slept On" Players

You will often hear about the stars of the league, but there some players that in my opinion deserve equal recognition for their hard work and skills, improving over the seasons and becoming key players to their team. In this sport, it's about team, and these guys are important pieces to the puzzle. I will add that this list is not in any particular order or ranking.

1. Butch Harris

This veteran can still GO. He's able to run up and down the court with his team, he is very skilled at securing positions in and around the paint, and able to grab boards while sealing off opponents. He prides himself in playing great defense, and has no problem moving the ball around to his teammates. Probably one of the most unselfish players in the league, The Agents most likely wouldn't have an even 2-2 record so far without him. Current Stats: 8.8 pts*9.0 reb*1.0 ast

2. Tralon Hogan

Pippen Ain't Easy's Tralon Hogan has been a solid addition to the team in many ways. He can drive the ball, facilitate, rebound, and what I think is his key assest, hustle. He keeps the team energized going after what seems to be every loose ball. He doesn't quit until the buzzer sounds off. You have to have players like this on your team to be successful, period. Current Stats: 12.4 pts*10.0 reb*1.8 ast

3. Justin Chandler

This kid plays his heart out every single game. Below The Rim was looking for an energy and tempo boost, and they found it in Justin Chandler. He's gotten a bit more consistent each season, and is not afraid to attack the competition. He's pretty evened out on both ends of the court, playing scrappy defense and getting the ball to the rim on drives for second chance opportunities. For a guy who just started playing ball he's doing pretty well I shall say! Current Stats: 10.0 pts*4.8 reb*1.3 ast

4. Jason Wallace

He is a player who knows his role, and does not have a problem at all with it. If the ball needs to get to a particular player, he will make sure it gets there. BTR's Jason Wallace does best offensively and defensively around the paint, but he can also warm up from the corner and behind the arc, and last week we saw him hit 4 out of 5 from downtown. He thinks about his team, and not just himself, and that is an important role. Current Stats: 7.6 pts*6.2 rebs*0.8 ast

5. Shey Holman

He's arguably one of the most improved players since last season, and it looks like the hard work he's been putting in in between season is paying off for him. His overall game has become more balanced, being able to score and move the ball, as well as play tenacious defense. He's a streaky 3-point shooter, and can rack up from long range in stints during the game. Mid-range jumpers looks to be his favorite, excelling in the pull-up jump shot off of the dribble. Current Stats: 18.2 pts*5.2 reb*3.2 ast

Which players do you feel are underrated or slept on? Should there be more added to the list? Drop your thoughts below!
