League looks to launch multiple Women's Divisions across U.S. in 2011 | Williams scores 10 in debut
Williams is holding her own in the male dominated Adult Leagues
Schaumburg, IL- As Ultimate Hoops works to build and expand it's Women's Division across the U.S. in 2011, a handful of talented female players are making their impact felt in the male dominated Adult Leagues.
Case is point is Chicago's Barbara Williams who had an impressive Spring Season 2011 debut in the Schaumburg Ultimate Hoops league. Williams used her sharp shooting and solid footwork to finish the night with 10 points and three rebounds in the Schaumburg Free Agent 73-64 win over Well Done 2. Chicago is hoping to launch its first Women's Division this Summer to showcase its city's top talent. The Detroit Women's Division is finishing their Winter Season Regular Season on Thursday. In Minneapolis, a Women's Division is attempting to launch at the Plymouth Life Time Fitness in May.
The league office has stated repeatedly that if enough women players are interested, the league will start a league at any Life Time Fitness center across the U.S.
So let this be a call for all women hoopers across America- Be Like Barbara and come to UH to showcase your skills!
