MONTVALE, NJ: Trouble in Paradise?

This much we know so far. Young Gelt Militia is ready to run away with the title if the rest of the league doesn’t pick up their game. So the question is…Who can stop them?

The young guns from YGM did it again with a 56-49 win over RUNt, the Lifetime team who seemed to be able to out-muscle their younger counterparts. Or so we thought…

With their loss, RUNt is now 0-2 after becoming YGM’s latest victims. They’ve played two competitive games against two good teams (Old School being the other). However, They have yet to crack 50 points and three-point happy Vinnie Graff takes more shots than anyone.

As for the defending champs, Old School started out a little slow with a loss to YGM and a close call vs. Just the Tip, where the game was really tighter than the 54-46 final. JTT has some shooters, as Old School’s John Cotton will tell you. Cotton’s squad has a defense that will keep them in it against anyone, and they should find themselves back in the title game come season’s end if they hold steady. But can they beat YGM when they face them again?



Anyone else? Just the Tip did play a good game last night, but they only won once all last season. More needs to be seen out of them. Ferrall Ballerz lost last night to Justin 46-39 and had to hang on for dear life to beat a JTT team that was playing with four guys in Week 1. Team Justin? They’re 2-1, but they got smashed by YGM in Week 1 and need to find some more offense. Randy? 0-2 so far.
