COLUMBUS, OH: Teammates share Player of the Week honors in week 5

Fast Switch’s Mike Grelle and Brian Stewart both had a great game to help push their team past Sunset Park in a 85-74 victory on Wednesday evening.

The dynamic duo combined for 50 points on roughly 60% shooting from the field. Both players also had double-doubles on the night. Grelle helped to slow the pace of the game against the run-n-gun style of Sunset Park, while Stewart nearly made everything he threw up at the cylinder, missing just 5 shots on the night. The victory improved Fast Switch’s record to 4-1 on the season, keeping them in second place in the league behind the undefeated State Farm Ballers. Fast Switch has a tough schedule the next two weeks, playing Elevate (3-2) and State Farm Ballers (4-0).

Mike Grelle, Fast Switch

May 8 @ Easton: Grelle scored 26 points on 52% shooting from the field. He pulled down 11 rebounds as well. This is Mike’s second double-double of the season.

Brian Stewart, Fast Switch

May 8 @ Easton: Stewart scored 24 points on 12-17 (71%) shooting on the night. He had 13 rebounds and contributed on the defensive end of the floor with 2 steals. This is Stewart’s third double-double of the season.

In addition to the impressive performances of Grelle and Stewart, State Farm Ballers set a new league scoring record on Wednesday night. They scored 142 points against Show Time in a 142-41 victory. This 101 point victory has sparked talk of performance enhancing drugs associated with State Farm. The Columbus league coordinatoors would like to ensure the players and fans that this team has since been tested and no PEDs were found in any of their players systems.
