COMMERCE OPEN: Power Rankings | Playoff spots are still up for grabs
Mike Hand with the tough two points
No changes in the rankings this week, however, week 7 could provide a big shakeup at the top as Dat Aint Fair and the Running Rebels matchup this Thursday.
1) Dat Aint Fair (6-0) – Dat Aint Fair put away a young, talented, athletic team in Squad in week 6 with relative ease to show off why they have been the #1 ranked team in the league from pre-season through week 7. This week’s matchup against the Running Rebels will be their biggest challenge left in the regular season in their quest to go 8-0.
2) Runnin' Rebels (4-2) – A 4th straight win has GM Rashodd Ross smiling from ear to ear and a win over #1 ranked Dat Aint Fair would have his team moving up to the #1 spot in the power rankings for the first time in a long time.
3) C4 (4-2) – The loss of Joseph Kassis and Jeff Jayson is a major blow to C4. They have been staples of this team for many championship sessions. Whether or not C4 can find adequate replacement for the two injured stars may be the difference in whether they win the championship or miss the playoffs all together.
4) Squad (2-4) – I expected a better effort from Squad in week 6 than their 15-pt loss to Dat Aint Fair. They still have time to recover and possibly take the 4th playoff spot if they can run off victories vs. C4 and the Running Rebels in the last two weeks of the regular season. Once again, they continue to be one of the most athletic teams in the league, but need to put it together now in order to attempt to secure a playoff spot.
5) Sons of Basketball (2-4) – A meeting with Rock City couldn’t come at a better time for Sons of Basketball as they are coming off of a 4th consecutive loss, this one at the hands of the Running Rebels. Winning in week 7 and
6) Rock City (0-6) – Rock City gave up another 100+ points (136) to C4 in a week 6 loss and will remain at the bottom of the power rankings until they figure out how to stop someone.
