ATLANTA, GA: Preview Week 3 | There Is A New Sheriff In Town
David "Coach" Graham producing on the offense of end
Enough Said vs. Mike’s Finest 7pm
Enough Said is a shell of themselves and do not look like the 3 time defending champions that they once were. From arguing with the referees and getting technical fouls, this team has lost its mojo. It is disappointing because this team is extremely talented and they have the trophies to prove it but from the lack of mental focus, this team cannot afford to battle with the referees week to week. I am giving out a chill pill as well as a reality check to Marcus Brown, Anthony Brown as well as Buck Jenkins, I am all up for getting your point across to the refs but bring it down about 10 notches. As a team Enough Said is averaging as least 2 techs a game and losing respect on and off the court. There is going to be awful calls here and there but its part of the game. We are here to have a good time not have our blood pressure rise week to week. The difference in the last two games that Enough Said lost have been within an average of 5 points. This team has given up 11 points in techs which is a the difference between a win or lose. #Enough Said.
Mike’s Finest started off last week with a critical lose and look to be bickering at each other. Chris Anderson looks to be on a rampage and expects perfection out of his teammates. He is a tough cover and can score against even the best defenders but in order to win in this league you have to rely on your teammates. If your getting ridiculed about any and all mistakes that you make on the court can become quite frustrating. I understand that winning is the bigger picture and working on your craft week in and week out but rumor has it that former teammate of Mike’s Finest refuse to play with this team. Now it may be because of personalties or not reaching expectations either way there is something that is going on. Now with this team they only have two known stars and a possible third star in Mike Hattub. In order for this team to gel and get back on the winning track they will need to get there chemistry down.
Prediction: Mike’s Finest by 13, Enough Said another 2 tech fouls
Team Follies vs. Bricklayers 8pm
Team Follies looks to be at rare forming and won a nail bitter double overtime game last week against Known Shooters. This team is the new sheriff in town and added some keep pieces to be at championship form. They already knocked off the defending champs in week 1 and look to prevail on their winning streak. I am stocked at how well this team is playing but when you lost by 1 point in the championship game, that will definitely motivate any team the following season. With Chadam “ Hotline Bling” Cole scoring a astonishing 27 points in last week win, made the deference in how this team is playing. Cole is playing big man basketball and leaving it all on the court. I must say he is the deference maker in how this team plays. This team is all on the shoulders of Cole and it depends on how Cole plays which will make out the deference in a win or lose.
Bricklayers is our new team and I honestly do not have must scouting report on these players. All I know is Julien “Steph Curry” Wilson is the backbone of this team. He is averaging 40 ppg and the offense goes through him. He can shoot from anywhere on the court and if you don’t have a hand up he will torture you. If you stop Wilson you cut the head from the beast. Wilson makes this team run and run like a well oil machine. It is going to be interesting to see Cole and Wilson battle against each other since they once were teammates.
Prediction: Team Follies by 8
Known Shooters vs. Hamgense Balls 9pm
Hamgense Balls beat their hated rivals last week and shot the ball lights out with an astonishing 74% from downtown. This team is rolling on all cylinders and look to be taking the league by storm. With the added addition of Mike “Smooth Criminal” Turner this team is better known as the Splash Brothers. They are gelling as well as communicating well together. Rumor has it that Mike “Range Rover” McCarthy will pay for all league fees if they win the championship this year. That is big and definitely a team builder and I commend you McCarthy for opening up the pocket book. But in order for that to happen, Hamgense Balls must win it all and for that to happen, they must continue to shoot the ball lights out as well as build on that chemistry.
Known Shooters have not had their full team as of yet and it has made a difference. This team lost a nail bitter double overtime game last week and look to rebound from that. In order for that to happen they must get a big production out of Tony “ Mario” Neysmith as well as Thomas “ Get Buckets” Lemon with these two at there peak no one in this league can stop them. They are a good addition to this team and have a high basketball IQ for the game. In order for this team to win they will need to play solid defense and get pass the mental grind of the game. The game is a game of runs and Known Shooters must withstand the runs of Hamgense Balls. Hamgense Balls will get their buckets and if you don’t know were all the shooters are at they will hurt in you all phases of the game. This will be a test to know who is the real Known Shooters.
Prediction: Hamgense Balls 7pts
