WOODSTOCK, GA: Champions Crowned | No More Losses wins second straight Woodstock title

No More Losses win the 2015 Summer Woodstock championship.

For the second straight season, No More Losses has taken the title at Woodstock. The team was lead by David Votta, Ryan Mumford, and Mike Hattub. With many changes heading into the season, No More Losses was hoping they could find a way to keep the chemistry their previous team had. They finished the season with a 9-1 record and now will be the team to beat again when the Fall season kicks off in November.

Championship Game Recap:

The game started off and it looked like it may be a sloppy contest. The gym at Woodstock is closed for improvements so the game had to be moved to our Sandy Springs location. Star player Darian Kearney was no where to be found at tip off and did not arrive until the second half. Detroit v Everybody hung around in the first half and ended the half only down by 6. Jarrett Hinton did a great job containing No More Losses leading scorer David Votta, but their team had no answer for Ryan Mumford. Mumford has been the dominant difference maker all season and he had one of his best games of the year in the biggest game of the year. He finished with 23 points and just dominated the game from the high post.

In the second half No More Losses controlled the possession and pushed their lead to double digits for most of the half. You could just tell that No More Losses wanted the game more. They were first to every lose ball and rebound. That all was lead by the defensive effort of David Graham. He was all over the place and set the tone for his team.

Douglas Rhodes tried to do everything he could to keep his team in the game, but age is catching up to him. He will need some help next year if he wants to get back to the top of the Woodstock league. There is a rumor that the original No More Losses team will be coming back together for next season, but you will have to stay tuned.

*With improvements coming to the Woodstock gym the Fall season will not start until the first week of November. Please check back for exact dates!
