WESTMINSTER, CO: Playoff Preview | Are Any Upsets Brewing?

The best regular season in Ultimate Hoops Westminster history has come to a close, which can mean only one thing: it's time for the playoffs. Here is a look at the first round matchups this week.

The Kardashians vs. Life Time Legends

The Kardashians just missed out on getting a bye for the first round of the playoffs but having to play the Life Time Legends isn’t a bad consolation. The Legends are still winless and although they have played better as the season progressed, they will still be outmatched by a team like The Kardashians.

We Goin Sizzler vs. The Bad Boys

In a replay of last seasons playoff matchup, these teams will go at it again. The Bad Boys play horrible up until the post season so now is the time for them to make their splash. Both teams have similar play styles and will look to grind out a victory. It should be a close game and the winner being whoever reigns on the defensive end of the court. This game will be filled with tempers and emotion, but will be an exciting one to watch.

The Great Unknown vs. Slam Drunk

Slam Drunk will come in as the favorite for this matchup having pulled together some wins towards the end of the season. The Great Unknown started the season off well but have since fell off when several key players stopped showing up. If the Great Unknown can get their whole roster together they can be a force in these playoffs but until then, Slam Drunk should have the upper hand with their talented roster.

MonSTARS vs. Hong Kong Diesel

This will probably be the closest contested matchup of the week as two very equivalent teams go at it. Hong Kong Diesel is playing better as a team and in typical Hong Kong Diesel fashion have added a key player that will help their chances. MonSTARS have been in every game they have played this year and I expect this to be no different. This matchup will be high scoring and a fun one to watch. This game is really a tossup.
