WESTMINSTER, CO: Week 3 Preview | The Champs Look to Stay Undefeated

Time flies when you're having fun, and we are already in week 3 of the spring season in Westminster. Let's take a look at this week's matchups.

Impact Basketball vs. The Kardashians

The first game of the night will be quite possibly the game of the night. League powerhouse IMPACT basketball will be taking on the up and coming Kardashians. Both teams come into this week with 2 wins under their belt and will be looking to get that 3rd win and remain amongst the top of the standings. IMPACT Basketball have quite possibly the best duo in all of Life Time Hoops history and their chemistry is only increasing each week. The Kardashians are a new team, but have been impressive with potential rookie of the year candidate Michael Skinner tearing through the stat sheets. This game is loaded with talent and will be a matter of which team really takes over on the defensive end of the court.

Long Shots vs. The Bad Boys

Who are these Long Shots?! This team has been the far most impressive thus far this season. Posting double digit victories in the first two weeks, this team sure looks like a contender. By making only a few minor tweaks this season, they seemed to have find a core that meshes well together and a team that is capable of beating anyone on any given night. The Bad Boys tend to take their name too literally and play “bad” in the regular season but this game is a perfect opportunity for them start the new season on the right track. The Bad Boys have the talent and hustle to win this game, but its all a matter of putting together 44 minutes of good basketball. The Long Shots will be favorited this game but with the Bad Boys, nothing surprises us anymore.

Hard Work Vs. Lifetime Legends

Ouch… This game will be rough. I wish I could say more, but this game is about as one sided as it could get.

Hong Kong Diesel vs. Slam Drunk

Hong Kong Diesel was just added to the league this week and I don’t know much about them. I don’t even know who is on their roster as a matter of fact. But whoever they are, they will be faced with a tough challenge in Slam Drunk. Slam Drunk is consistently good every season and this year is no different. Slam Drunk’s Gherrick Dixon is tearing up the league once again and stopping him is the key to success against this very good Slam Drunk team. It will be interesting to see just who this mystery team is and what impact they will have on the league.

The Gladiators vs. We Goin Sizzler

This game will be high scoring and filled with 3 pointers. If you like that type of basketball then this is the game for you to watch. The Gladiators have been impressive early on this season and will look to get the win again in week 3 against a good team in We Goin Sizzler. Last season, We Goin Sizzler was one of the league’s best but losing their two best players this year has them trying to find their identity. They aren’t as deep as they were in leagues past but their chemistry is still there making them a very formidable opponent for anyone.

The Great Unknown vs. The MonSTARS

In the final game of the night, The Great Unknown led by Chad Smith and TJ Cyriacks face off against Kyle Norman and his MonSTARS. The MonSTARS were dominant in the first half last week only to blow a 20 point second half lead. This team surely has promise and are capable of playing with the best. The Great Unknown have yet to really be tested this season and this game could be their first real challenge. TJ and Chad thrive at getting to the rim so it will be up to Kyle Norman to stop the penetration at the rim. This should be a very close game and could come down to whichever team has the hotter shooting hand on this night.
