Week 1 Preview

630PM PILLSBURY B BOYS VS. SUPERSONICS: This matchup has barn burner written all over it and will be a great game to start the league off. Both teams are coming in pretty evenly matched and not having seen either team really play it’s going to be really hard to predict. The Pillsbury Boys will be relying on Klayton Kristicks outside shooting and athletic big man Brandon Birden to carry them. The Supersonics have a pretty deep team but who will be carrying them down crunch time this season?
PREDICTION: Supersonics by 4

730PM PINK CANOES VS. PHX BALLAS: The Pink Canoes are coming into this game as the #1 preseason ranked team in Scottsdale. They will be led by veteran guard Lance Williams and skilled big man Seth Robinson. The Canoes will have one of the biggest front lines in the league with Adam Grimes manning the middle. However with out Lance Williams controlling the tempo for them in week 1 I can easily see an upset coming especially when they are facing a solid veteran group like the Phx Ballas. I guarantee Tyrone Jones and the Phx Ballas will be ready for their former rivals. Its only week 1 but I’m already calling for an upset this week.
PREDICTION: Phx Ballas by 5

830PM SCOTTSDALE FA VS. TIMELIFERS: This will be the hardest game to predict since I have not seen one player on either team play. The Timelifers have put together a solid veteran group and I expect them to a tough team. However the team will have to rely on teamwork because I’m not sure who will be carrying them. The free agent group will most likely be led by Marquest Holeman. Who will step up and help him out? That will remain to be seen.
PREDICTION: Timelifers by 8

930PM SPLASH BROTHERS VS. XOVER: This game is shaping up to be the game of the week in Scottsdale. We have a new Scottsdale Powerhouse in the Splash Brothers going up against the former powerhouse Team XOver. The Splash Brothers will be led by superstar guard Nick Tomsick and forward Chris Davis. Team XOver will be led by point guard Chris Fisher and star forward Fred Dudley. I already see a rivalry brewing in Scottsdale and I can’t wait to see this game. It’s the young bucks vs the veterans. Who will prevail?
