MANSFIELD, TX: We Get Buckets Search For Answers
We Get Buckets' Chauncey Lusk fights to keep his team above water.
We Get Buckets seems to have lost their essence as a team. Some say it's because they have lost many key players. On more of a superstitious note, some say that it's the name change alone that is causing them problems (Formerly called Redeem Team). Once a dominant and intimidating force, along with claiming their own title in the past, they remain as the only winless team so far this season going into Week 4, while the other 3 teams are all tied at 2-1.
As a unit, We Get Buckets' main issue lies in the consistency of the players. It's one thing to lose a few key contributors and struggle to adjust with newbies, but it's another thing to deal with players not showing up altogether to even contribute.
Point guard Chauncey Lusk has to remain a leader, as well as an offensive threat. We saw him put up an astonishing 54 points against The Fundamentalists in a triple overtime loss, and newcomer Stephen Wilkes has added to the offensive arsenal as a consistent mid-range shooter, three point shooter (43% going into Week 4) and rebounder who can really make a difference while he's on the floor.
They face the energetic and trigger happy Lunch Ballers in Week 4, who are telling everyone that they will not have a losing record this season. Can We Get Buckets grasp their first win next week, or will they go into the first half of the season winless? Leave your comments below!
