MANSFIELD, TX: The SQUAD Rebuilds For The Better
Last season we saw the newest addition to the Mansfield UHoops League struggle with chemistry, cohesiveness, and perhaps a lack of dedication, as it seemed that they just couldn't hold it together in which otherwise they would have been one of the main contenders for #1. The team's captain and main voice, Marcus Scruggs sought to rebuild his team after all of his players left (except for one), and his hard work has seemed to pay off.
Though they are 0-2 to start the season, their last game against newcomers The Mercs shows that this team has power, and they are not to be taken lightly. The SQUAD came back from an almost 30 point deficit, only to fall short 76-71.
The SQUAD's chemistry now looks to be well-mixed, and with new guys like talented guard Dameyun Kee, who can handle the ball and pass exceptionally well, and Go-To-Guy Delvon Brown, who is averaging 22 points and 7.5 rebounds so far this season, this team has improved a great deal from last season.
With his new team, Scruggs hopes to keep his team intact and become a threat this season, as they will be facing some even tougher competition here in the near future. Will The SQUAD move up in the ranks as a top team? Are they championship contenders? Leave your comments below!
