MANSFIELD, TX: UHoopaz On A Mission
The UHoopaz
We always hear about the Veterans and their arch rivals the Redeem Team, but this season the competition is tight, and there is one team that definitely has the potential to thwart either of the latter teams' plans on getting .
UHoopaz has restacked their team, and they look mighty healthy, which could mean trouble for the other teams. In a 102-78 victory against the Texas Heat last Tuesday, every player scored in double figures (Brett Hamilton scored 14 pts and this was the lowest, respectively). UHoopaz have threats at every angle---a variety of weapons, equipped with shooters, size, strong defenders, speed, chemistry and intelligence. Tristan Smith and Leonard Frank have both played at semi-pro/pro levels and can easily heat up the net, and let's not leave out prolific scorer Julian Johnson who has remained extraordinarily consistent throughout his season in the league. Brett Hamilton and big man Zane Hartman are always on the boards, and ready to block anyone coming into the paint. In a nutshell, this team can BALL, and will put up triple digits on the scoreboard if you do not come prepared.
Are these guys true contenders? UHoopaz face the Veterans next week in what will be a MUST SEE game, an establishment game if you will. What do you think will be the outcome? Are the Vets still too powerful, or will UHoopaz take away some of their thunder? Drop your thoughts in the comment box below!
