MN OPEN: Bulls v. Abe Froman in the Final | Who does Toatley play for?
Two storied franchises, Bulls of St. Louis Park and Abe Froman of Target Center, will face-off for the Minnesota 2013 Winter season title tonight at St. Louis Park.
The teams share more than just Championship Caliber talent, they both have Dwayne Toatley on their roster. Rumors are swirling as to which team he will suit up for and possible negotiating tactics between team GM's Eugene Phelps and Bryan Munsell. Abe Froman has offered Toatley to the Bulls in return for possession of the ball to start the game and the second half and smoothies from the cafe. No word on if Phelps has countered the offer.
With Ryan Jansen playing with one hand, literally, Abe Froman will need someone in their backcourt to fill the role of defensive stopper, as they will be facing one of the most formative backcourts in all of UH with Dream Teamers Brensely Haywood and Paris Kyles, joined by explosive newcomer Joe Scott.
This game has all the makings of an epic battle that will go down to the wire, unlike either team's semi-final games. The Bulls crushed 403, who were without bigman Nick Dale. While Abe Froman let a big lead get away, as #1 seed Big Smash pulled to within five points before Abe Froman sealed the victory with timely free throws by Mike Byrne.
