MANSFIELD, TX: Channin Harden top player in the league?
Channin Harden (Center)
Something that you will often hear from Veterans' powerhouse Channin Harden is that he is a competitor. Harden has definitely made his presence known in the league since joining the Veterans after the first few games of the season. Upon joining he'd often say, "I'm looking for competition, I love to compete. If this league is competitive, then I'm in it.". It's one thing to talk the talk, but the proof is in his numbers.
In his 4 games with the Vets, Harden has racked up 114 points, coming off of a spectacular 49 point performance in a 98-93 win against the Lunch Ballers Tuesday night. Apparently, he has caught the 3 bug as well, shooting 5-8 (63%) from downtown in the win. Channin is also 1 of 4 players averaging a double-doubles this season with 28.5 pts and 10.5 rebs. Are these numbers not proof of a true competitor?
No doubt his numbers prove his competitive edge, and his presence has ultimately made an impact and raised the bar of intensity in this league, but do they qualify him to be the top player in Mansfield? Who would you rank as the top player and why? Leave your rankings in the comment box below!
