KANSAS CITY: Week 7 POWER RANKINGS

Dusty Burdoiski is a STRAIGHT SharpShooter....

Kansas City Power Rankings Week 7

Ok guys and girls, here are the almighty Power Rankings headed into the all-star break for Kansas City Ultimate Hoops. After this will be the official seeding for the playoffs.

Although the league favorite JC Hoops still sits atop the thrown with one loss, we have had an interesting (possible controversial) development directly below them. Nexus has jumped KC’s Finest and the Celtics by rattling off their 3rd straight W. They concluded the hat trick by taking down a roster depleted Celtics squad 67-57, led by Cody Stackhouse with a season high 26 points including 6 treys.

So where’s the controversy? This season headlines have been dominated by JC Hoops and KC’s Finest. No one was talking about Nexus after the first few weeks. But remember basketball is a game of momentum and streak’s and Nexus has both those going for them right now. Keep your eye on JP (Justin Pederson) and his boys as they look to continue to stay hot.

At the top JC Hoops was able to handle The Tamlands without much of a problem, although Benton Munyun was tough to stop and ended with 18 points and 11 boards. But his double-double not comparable to Zach Witterstaetter 31 point 26 board efforts. Wow. Another notable double-double from around the league was Tim Ciccone with 11 and 11. In that game it was the battle of the Finest (OP vs KC) and without JR Lott to run the PG KC’s were not able to stop Andrew Hannon and Co. Final score 73-61 in that affair.

1 JC Hoops 6-1
2 Nexus 5-2
3 KC's Finest 5-2
4 Celtics 4-3
5 OP's Finest 3-3
6 The Tamland's 2-4
7 Alodia 2-5
8 JoCo Players 0-7

Finally, the All-star votes are in Celtics dunk machine Ryan Magdziarz and Ex- D1 PG Victor Williams led the way. Here are the remaing All-Starts. They will match up Monday November 28th at 8:30, preceded by a Week 1 makeup game of Tamlands vs. OP’s Finest.
