On January 26 2016, Ultimate Hoops Toronto had their week 2 match ups. Teams are starting to jump start rivalry and gel together in their respective teams. Game 1 - 7pm - The Six vs The Spartans Game 2 - 8pm - The Jax vs The Rainmen Game 3 - 9pm - The Moose vs The Storm Game 4 - 10pm - The Monstars vs The North Game 1 The Six fall to The Spartans in double over time in a intense battle for the win. The game knotted at 45 neither team could pull away due to the tight defense of each team. Tyrell Atkins hit a go ahead 3 pointer to take the lead. The Six's Jeron Kerr had a chance to tie the game with an and 1 bucket but wasn't able to make the free throw fall. The Combo of Jeron Kerr and Anthony Irisapen, lead The Spartans with 12 points and 13 points respectively. The Six out rebounds Spartans 40 - 23 in a losing effort. The Spartans team basketball was the result to the win. The Spartans beat The Six 48 - 47. Game 2 The Rainmen came this week with vengeance after last weeks lost to the Monstars. Andrew Clarke played tough trying to keep the Jax in the game. He had one of the best performance of this early season finishing with 24 points and 22 rebounds. The Rainmen had control from the start of the game starting a 13-0 lead in the beginning of the first half. Dion Clarke scored early racking up buckets in the bunches for The Rainmen with the help of Brian James' facilitating the flow of the game. Peter Okalebo took over in the second half and is now the leading scorer of the Ultimate Hoops League. He finished with 26 points and 13 rebounds in win over The Jax 77- 50. Game 3 Lamont Wiltshire and The Moose took care of business increasing their winning streak last night vs The Storm. The Storm's Dominick Philippe's tenacity wasn't enough, falling to The Moose 46 - 22 in Ultimate Hoops 3rd game of the Night. The Moose's Adam Ali continues to play consistent finishing with a balance of 6 points 5 steals and 4 assists. He always keeps his team at bay and keeps them in control of the game. However Lamont Wiltshire was the hot hand of the night. He stayed aggressive, made good passes and open shots. He finished the game with a double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. Game 4 Both teams looked to giving the other their first lose of the season. The Monstars continue with their strong team play while The North were struggling to find an identity. Jawad Ahmad was the game favorite this game showing off his skills with fancy moves and stylish And 1s. Unfortunately he was the only one from his team to hit double digits. Kevin Allen dominated the inside with 17 rebounds and 2 blocks, keeping The North out the paint. Urbino Luna and Bejun Dela Cruz also had a great games playing with great poise and control finishing with 9 points and 18 points respectively. The Monstars defeated The North 51 - 31. Week 2 is in the books. The Teams to look at next week are the undefeated Moose and The Monstars. Rivalry are starting to heated up and teams are bringing their A game. We'll see what happens in Week 3.
