GILBERT, AZ: Week 6 Power Rankings | It’s About To Go Down

It's all smiles for both SET IT OFF and JUST DO IT as they look to make a late season push to get that high seed for the tournament

Week 6 Power Rankings

1. GAME OVER (5-1, LW 2) – I keep saying the same thing over and over; they are stacked at every position and have players that are just damn talented. They should be able to maintain the top spot in Gilbert and get a high seed come tournament time. I still need to see how they handle adversity in close games, but with the talent they have, most games shouldn’t even be close.

2. GRINDIN (3-2, LW 4) – We talked about this team in our mid-season review as one of the sleeper teams to watch out for and there’s a perfectly good reason for this; they have the talent to play. They have 2 bigs in Marcus and Brent that will give any and every team fits. If Mike Rose can maintain his focus while still playing that tough D he’s known for, not many teams will be able to hang with them.

3. HITTIN TRIPS (4-2, LW 1) – They’ve don’t look quite as dominant without their leading big the last few games. I still like their guard play and they are as good as they come, but as we all know you need two things to be successful in this league; depth and bigs.

4. JUST DO IT (3-2, LW 5) – The may have found the groove they’ve been looking for all season. They are a potent offensive team and do just enough on the defensive end to keep it close. But their lack of depth is the biggest question mark for this team. It seems like they even struggle wrangling up four to suit up for games.

5. SET IT OFF (3-2, LW 3) – I like what they’ve put together so far this year; they’ve got the squad to compete with anybody. I just wonder if they have that extra gear to pull out close games. When it comes down to it, they have veterans that will lead this team deep into the tournament and I expect big things from them.

6. REGULATORS (1-4, LW 6) – Maybe the week off will have done this team some good. They have struggled mightily to find a flow to their game and the frustration has been evident. They’ve got a tough road ahead and each game will be a grind for them. If they can muster up some team chemistry in the next few games, they might be able to surprise a team or two come tournament time.

7. GILBERT FA (0-6, LW 7) – They actually looked really good in their last game. They were moving the ball well and were taking (and hitting) good shots. It kind of fell apart on them in the second half, but if they can build on that momentum, they can maybe pull out a good win this week or next.
