GILBERT, AZ: Week 5 Power Rankings | Anyone’s League to Win

Has Donald Didlake (GAME OVER 2) found the right mix to finally live up to expectations?

Week 5 Power Rankings

1. HITTIN TRIPS (4-1, LW 1) – It’s safe to say that this will be the team to beat in Gilbert. They just need to continue to find their groove and stay healthy (re: Matt Cooper). Not sure how they will handle any future adversity, but James has done a good job assembling a good group of guys that seem to genuinely like playing with each other.

2. GAME OVER (4-1, LW 2) – The talent is there. The offensive fire power is evident; they have 6 guys that can take over the game at any time. They haven’t had any close games this year that have challenged them so it will be interesting to see how well they will respond.

3. SET IT OFF (3-1, LW 3) – They are starting to piece it together and look very good so far. I like their rotation and I expect big things from them going forward. If they can continue to learn how to play with each other, this is the team that can quietly come out of Gilbert with the number one seed.

4. GRINDIN (2-2, LW 5) – After a few tough weeks, they finally got a break and got to get into a groove by beating up on the FA team. They were able to showcase what they could do if they can get into a rhythm. This is one of the few teams in this league that has the size to compete with HITTIN TRIPS and the other big teams around the state. If they can capitalize on this, they will be able to do some good things going forward.

5. JUST DO IT (2-2, LW 4) – They Jekyll and Hyde of the league. They don’t have a deep squad and struggle to find a solid 5 each week so it will be very hard to gauge them on a weekly basis. Again if Travis can get his guys to play, they will be a fun bunch to watch. I just highly doubt they ever come with a full squad.

6. REGULATORS (1-4, LW 6) – They once again struggle to get their offense going as they failed to get past 58 points for the 4th straight game. They have yet to find a flow to their game and they all seem frustrated in the process. They need to find a solution quick if they want to salvage this season.

7. GILBERT FA (0-5, LW 7) – Back to back games last week and unfortunately got beat down pretty handily in both games. They’ve had a couple players picked up on some teams so this has left them a bit short handed lately. They all come to compete, unfortunately they just don't have the team chemistry to win games right now.
