ATLANTA, GA: Week 1 Preview | Can Team Follies contend for a Championship?

Team Follies and Enough Said have been playing against one other for over three years now. Enough Said has dominated the matchup usually winning by 15 plus every time they match up. Team Follies has added a couple of big additions that they know can finally put them over the hump. All I know is that Enough Said is one of the best teams in Ultimate Hoops history and if any team does not bring their A game they will be embarrassed. So Team Follies better come ready to play, if not it will be the same story in this rivalry.

Gawd Squad vs Mumford Returns 8pm

In this matchup I'm not sure who to pick as these two teams have added new players to their rosters. For Mumford Returns to have a solid season they will need Bryan "Public Enemy #1" Gates to average at least 25 ppg. When he is playing at a high level Mumford Returns is usually a tough team to beat. Last season, they lost a close battle against Team Follies and look to rebound this season. The question remains, do they have enough Star power as well as pride to contend this year. For Gawd Squad they are led by the best shooter's in Atlanta Ultimate Hoops with Frankie Ghouchani and Micheal "What Are Those" McCarthy. You have to know where these two players are at on the court all the time. With Frankie "Use To Be A Champion" Ghouchani he can create his own shot and is deadly when coming off a screen. This can't be said for Mike McCarthy who's dribbling skills has diminished. But when left open he will hit 50% of his shots. This team will more than likely struggle without there star Derek Turner who will not return this season due to retirement, he was the creator for this team and created those open shots for McCarthy

Enough Said vs Team Follies 9pm

Enough Said is led by the do it all Forward Marcus "Beast Mode" Brown. Every time he steps on the court he usually scores 20 plus points and grabs 10 or more rebounds. This unit has chemistry swagger, as well as championship trophies to seal the deal. They all take pride in defense and shutting there man down. With the return on Alex " GSXR 1000" Elem, this team will continue to dominate on the defense and solidify their dynasty. For Team Follies, they will need their defensive ace David "Coach" Graham to slow down Marcus "Beast Mode" Brown and make the other players on Enough Said score which would be a good game plan. This is the match up that I will be keying in on. These two teams usually go at each other hard so it should be interesting to see who will come out on top.
