ALPHARETTA, GA: The Finals | The Rise or Fall of a Dynasty
Prince watching his team win their semi-final game.
The finals are tonight and there is only one question left to answer. With a win tonight, are Max Contracts officially a dynasty? They have consistently been at the top of the league’s standing year in and year out. Every team is gunning to take the champs down and very few have succeeded. They not only have a high level of talent on the floor, but they play with a level of intensity that only few teams can match.
One of those teams that can match that level of intensity is Enough Said. Prince Kearney and company have been playing together for a long time, winning leagues all over Atlanta. Earlier this season, against a shorthanded Max Contracts team, they blew them out by 39. Enough Said looked like the better team that day, but the truth will come out in tonight’s championship game.
Look for Ashley Olinger to try and take control of the game early on offense for Max Contracts. Ashley has been looking forward to this re-match since that loss. Speaking with him yesterday after the All Star Game he quoted, “They will beat them by 20. It’s not even a question.” With that kind of talk from the reigning league MVP, I’m expecting a huge performance from the Kentucky native.
For Enough Said they will look to Chad Cribbs to give them a huge game defensively. If Enough Said plans on winning their first Alpharetta Championship, Cribbs will have to find a way to shut down Olinger. They will also need to make sure they control the boards and take full advantage of their size.
Prediction: Max Contracts by 2.
Game tips off at 6PM tonight at Lifetime Alpharetta.
