DENVER: Parker's CARDAN wins Denver's All-City 2011 Winter Season Championship


The Denver All-City Winter Season 2011 Champs- CARDAN



The Denver Championship Tournament this past weekend got under way with a fairly close match between Westminster's Victorious Secret and Flight School.

Victorious Secret claimed the 62-50 victory to move on to the championship game. They were led by the joint scoring attack of TJ Cyraicks and Matt Rice, both of whom scored 21 points.

Flight School’s Kenny Muirbrook scored 22 points and shot 50% from the field.

Pippen Ain’t Easy from Centennial and CARDAN from Parker battled it out for the final spot to the Denver City Championship game in which CARDAN claimed the 73-61 win. Marc Keach and Dave Wilhelm both had double-doubles with 24 points 10 boards and 23 points 11 boards, respectively.

Pippen Ain’t Easy‘s Nick Vigil scored 20 points and the Centennial's coordinator Josh Wobeter contributed 9 points and 6 boards.

The Championship game was a battle from start to finish but CARDAN from Parker defeated Westminster’s Victorious Secret in overtime 76-71 to claim the Winter 2011 Denver Championship. Keach dominated the entire game scoring 40 points and ripping down 12 boards.

Cyriacks of Victorious Secret also had a strong game scoring 33 points.
