SCOTTSDALE, AZ: Week 4 Power Rankings | Tempers Rising

Dave Delnero's (We Dem Boyz) strong play is big factor in his team's early success

We’re at the halfway point of the season and plenty of issues pop up for every team over the course of a season, but some are easier to identify than others. Games are starting to get more physical and some players are having a tough time adjusting. My advice: It’s not going to get easier so stick it through and things will eventually work out.

Week 4 Power Rankings

1. FIRE BREATHING RUBBER DUCKIES (4-0, LW 1) This team continues to compete at an elite level and get plenty of oohs and aahs along the way. Through four games, I would have to say they are my favorite to come out of Scottsdale. Anything less will be a disappointment.

2. XOVER (3-1, LW 2) There’s nothing that needs to be said that hasn’t been said before about this team. They will lose a couple games throughout the season, but they understand the ultimate goal is to get back to the championship.

3. WE DEM BOYZ (3-1, LW 4) This is a vastly underrated team. Tristan Boone and Dave Delnero are a dangerous shooting combo that can light it up from long range. They’ve got the shooting and experience to beat any team any given night.

4. TIMELIFERS (3-1, LW 3) Granted, their stats are apt to cause more yawns than the oohs and aahs, but they have been capable and continue to win despite being one of the smaller teams in the league.

5. SCOTTSDALE FA (2-2, LW 5) This team will go as far as Nick Tomsick takes them. Nick had a tough shooting outing this last week, but his teammates stepped it up and knocked down some big shots. You can see that this team is starting to understand how to play together. I like watching this team play, I'm just not sure how sustainable their play will be come playoff time.

6. PHX BALLAS (1-3, LW 7) They got their first win of the season this past week. They added big man Eli Davis and that has helped stabilize their rotation. Will this help them get over the hump and get them back to their winning ways? Time will tell.

7. DOG GOES WOOF, CAT GOES MEOW (0-4, LW 8) This team is having a hard time putting it together. They just can’t seem to get into a groove. They look to have the talent to compete, but something is just not working and it shows on the court.

8. SUPERSONICS (0-4, LW 6) This is a disappointing start for this team to say the least. They were one of the best teams to watch last season and everyone was playing with such flare. That seems such a lifetime ago. They are competitive, I'll give them that, but they just don't have the swag they had last year.
