MANSFIELD, TX: Week 4 Power Rankings | Records A Good Indicator?

The first half of the season is now a part of the past, and while a couple of teams have pretty much saw success thus far, the rest seem to not have adapted quite as well. Records do not fully determine a team's power ranking, but they can give those looking from the outside-in a very good indicator of what a team is capable of.

#1 4 Brothers

4 Brothers are last season's champs, which gives them an already high ranking, but their record so far this season is also proof as they have yet to suffer a loss. In fact, I believe that they are playing better than the first half of last season. Chemistry seems to be even stronger now that they have a dedciated line up, and Justin Tatum really adds to his team the spark that they need. His drive game really opens up a lot of his teammamtes, and he's able to get to the paint at will. Reliability goes a long way, and it looks like they have the best team in this league for it.

#2
Pippen Ain't Easy

Man-For-Man they may be the most talented team, with a force at every position. They have size, speed, and scorers who are not afraid to shoot the ball, and definitely not afraid to attack. Shey Holman has become one of the primary scorers, along with talented guard Vince Benn who both will hurt opponents from mid range and downtown. This will be a team to watch if they are able to build a solid foundation. They get hungrier and hungrier for wins each contest, and it's evident in their game play.

#3
The Agents

They have already matched their win total from Summer and Spring, as well as having a winning record so far, and with a new leader in Vernon Mathis who joined the squad in Week 2, things are looking a lot brighter for this team, a team that has often been plagued with chemistry and player reliability. I believe that his leadership along with game experience from vets like Butch Harris and Odis Seaberry will continue to help propel this team into the right direction. They are doing a great job on the defensive end, allowing only 60 points a game (2nd out of 5) All they need now is a couple of more guys to step up and contribute some points to the scoreboard (5th out of 5).

#4
Smash Bros.

Adding big man DonPaul Mitchell to the team this season was exactly what they needed as he's proven to be a huge factor, but player reliability and availability has really taken a toll on Smash Bros.(formerly Hoop Squad), and it looks to be affecting their desire and determination (what I like to call Heart) as well. We've seen this team obliterate opponents in the past, scoring well over 100 on many occassions, but they always have seemed to be cursed by the lack of defense, and it's showing clearly this season as they rank last in points allowed (74.7). A step up on the defensive end could drastically change this team's future, but will we see it happen?

#5
Below The Rim

This team is so much better than their record and ranking, but with the loss of their big man, failure to close out games and failure to find bench help, Below The Rim is struggling. They have yet to register a W, and their lack of size and power has put them on the back burner for rebounds and points. This is very good team, but I'm not sure if they realize their potential at this time. There are talks of them receiving a guard or forward, but we shall see.

Do you think that these rankings are accurate? Who do you think is the most powerful team? Leave your comments below!
