TEMPE, AZ: Week 2 Power Rankings | Surfs Up Bro
Brad Carroll has help make Team Hashtag a legit contender this season in Tempe
Brad Carroll from Team Hashtag may look like he just walked in from the beach but don't let his shaggy hair and surfer looks fool you. The dude can hoop and has Team Hashtag on the rise. Check out where they fall this week in our latest Power Rankings...
Game winner in the books from Dale Samson! The Splash Brothers have now shown they can win without their best player against a good team. At the moment Who’s Next cannot wait to get a rematch against them. We have a battle for the top seed on our hands now! Look for the power rankings to keep changing because almost any team can pull off an upset this season.
WEEK 2 POWER RANKINGS
1. SPLASH BROTHERS- “ Were up 22 points, is that good enough?...” well I didn’t think so as a spectator, cause they needed a game winner to pull out the win from the outstanding comeback that Who’s Next made in the second half. Without Nick Tomsick, the scoring was shaky when they really needed it but Dale Samson came to their rescue, hitting twenty-five footer and with only 1 second left in the game.
2. BULLS- Were on bye this past week but after their tough loss last week, look for them to get some revenge on their next opponent. We have yet to see this entire team play together.
3. HASHTAG- Clicking on all cylinders on Tuesday was the starting 5 for team Hashtag, with their lights out shooting and excellent team work they were able to put up 117 points and get the win. Let’s see if they can beat one of the best teams in the league in the weeks to come.
4. WHOS NEXT- Hard work, determination, and team work almost brought them back to win from a twenty-two point deficit. But despite the loss it was a win in their heads just not shown on paper. Subsequently now they know if they can keep themselves out of holes they’ll be able to put others in one, if they play like they just did the 2nd half of Tuesday nights game!
5. DOWNTOWN- Starting 2-0 this season has paid them great dues for them because now they're in the race to get in the top 3. They haven’t played a great team yet so we’ll have to see how Omar Waller and his team can hang when they face a contender. Still waiting for Isaiah Rider to make his debut..
6. MONSTARS- What a great bounce back win from week one! With the addition of 6-7 big man Marque Hurd to their lineup, we can say the race is on for them to get back to the top.
7. BADGUYS- Just cannot get a win, in the last 2 weeks they have lost by 5 or less. I can really see them getting some wins in the next few weeks as good as they’re playing. Although they will have to pull it together at the end of games to finish them!
8. WOLVES- Tough loss this week for their first game of the season. The Wolves didn’t play anywhere near their potential as individual’s and if they can they will make a great team. Once the system they want to play is figured out you will hear some howls coming towards their next opponent.
9. TEMPE FA- Didn’t do too bad this week, when Scott Tinagero is hitting 3s and they’re sharing the ball they can make a good team, but they still have a ways to go.
Please check the new schedule as we will begin using both courts for games starting this Tuesday.
