PHOENIX, AZ: Week 3 Preview | Bulls and Head Bustas Face Off in Showdown

We have another exciting week of basketball coming up this week in Tempe. We have two 2-0 teams squaring off this week and two 0-2 teams facing off this week as well. One team will get their first win and one team will be starting 0-3. Who will it be?


BULLS VS HEAD BUSTAS: This is the game of the week. Both teams are 2-0 heading into this game and I guarantee it’s going to be a dogfight. The Bulls are ranked #1 in team offense this season averaging 93.5 points per game and the Head Bustas are ranked 1st in team defense allowing only 59.5 points per game to their opponents. The leagues best offense is squaring off against the leagues best defense. The Bulls have yet to have their entire roster together for a game. Will this be the week they put it all together and regain the top spot in our power rankings?
PREDICTION: BULLS BY 6

TEMPE VS LIFETIME TEMPE: Both teams are coming into this game at 1-1. Lifetime Tempe showed a lot of heart last week hanging on for the win against Echelon. Their size and rebounding are going to give team Tempe some problems. Team Tempe is having some chemistry issues but that is to be expected for any free agent team. They are not gun shy and that’s for sure, they are ranked 2nd in the league in 3 point attempts. Hopefully they knock those down this week because getting offensive rebounds over those trees at Lifetime Tempe is not going to be an easy task.
PREDICTION: LIFETIME TEMPE BY 8

MONSTARS VS UPPER ECHELON: Upper Echelon will have played the 3 best teams in the league after this week. Talk about a tough schedule to start the season. That is why they are my sleeper team for the 2nd half. As for the Monstars they are just rolling right now and with Echelon ranked last in team defense giving up 81 points per game, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Monstars put up 100 points this week.
PREDICTION: MONSTARS BY 10

GILBERT VS WHO’S NEXT: One team will get their first win and one team will start the season 0-3. What team will it be? Gilbert is leading the league in 3-point attempts averaging nearly 41 attempts per game! Which is 10 more attempts then the next team. If they can knock half of those attempts down they should have no issues getting a win. Who’s Next is having a lot of issues putting the ball in the basket, they are ranked dead last in points per game. There is still a ton of season left and hopefully they get it together soon. If not they might have to consider thinking about changing their team name to Next Season.
