DALLAS, TX: Playoff Predictions | Winter Season Signups


Connor and Jeremy fight for the ball



First round of playoffs is over and semi-finals is right around the corner. Fallen from the race we have Dirkaholics losing to Deceptively Punctual 59-83, The Shockers losing to Massive Jammers 62-91, Hard Agents losing to UTEP 2-Step 83-121, and Left 4 Dead losing to SMU 70-79.

We have 4 very talented teams left ready to fight their way to the top and take the title away from UTEP 2-Step.

Playoff Predictions:

7PM -
Deceptively Punctual vs Massive Jammers

Massive Jammers are hard to stop...period. To be frank, it would take a miracle for DP to take home a win against MJ. Heck, some of the players were surprised they made it through the first round of playoffs! But kudos to DP for putting up some good numbers this season and making it all the way to the semi-finals. Who knows, maybe we'll see a miracle performed Tuesday night.

The Massive Jammers are number 1 contenders for taking home the championship this season. Their game against DP should be a good warm-up to jump into the championship game.

PREDICTION: Massive Jammers win by 18

8PM -
UTEP 2-Step vs SMU

This will be a great game to watch. Both teams hustle hard for their wins and play smart offense and hard defense. EJ Nevarez of UTEP is a leader out on the court that has been known to take his team out of large defecits and lead them into victories despite the odds.

I forsee SMU starting off strong gaining a hefty league then having to scramble to fight off UTEP in the second half to maintain a safe position. Staton Standridge will have to lead his team into a intense, but controlled and smart gameplay if he wants to win. He does this on a regular basis as is, but he will need to keep it at a high level throughout the whole game to ensure a victory and chance to battle for the championship.

PREDICTION: UTEP 2-Step wins by 3

9:15PM will be the final game in Dallas Athletic's 2013 Fall Season. A champion will be crowned and teams will start re-couping for winter season 2014.
