MANSFIELD, TX: Adam Rowe Ecstatic Over Win Against Their Nemesis

In any league, whether there are 6 teams or 20, there is always that ONE team that everyone wants to beat, so much that defeating any other team just doesn't seem to give you that ultimate satisfaction. This can often be heard at Mansfield and even after 2 teams have just played you may hear them saying amongst one another, "I can't wait to play them I want to beat them so bad!".

You probably may have already guessed it if you've been following this season as well as the previous seasons. It's none other than the Veterans, and it seems to be every other team in this league's dream to defeat and de-throne the reigning champs. Last Tuesday we saw the underdog Lunch Ballers versus the powerhouse vet team.

The game was high priority, filled with intensity, emotion, and most notably lots of trash talk between the 2 main scorers for each. The Lunch Ballers' leading scorer Adam Rowe was more than determined to win, putting up big numbers with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, shooting 55% from the field while the leading scorer for the Vets' Milan Sanders was held to just 10 points (lowest this season) and 7 assists, with only 1 three in the game. I think it's safe to say that Rowe came out on top this time in 91-76 victory over the former champs.

After the game Adam shouted over and over, "We beat 'em! We finally got 'em, we did it!". After 2 straight losses, some may begin to wonder if the Vets are losing power, or running out of gas. Is it a fluke, or are the Vets' really beginning to lose their grip? Drop your thoughts and opinions in the comment box below!
