DALLAS, TX: No Doubt, Young and Promising | Spring Season Signups

Siegel with the deuce!

No Doubt, a brand new team to the league made up of a bunch of young guns put together by Ben Siegel, have made the decision to come back for another season after their first win in the season over Alibi.

So, what does this team need in order to compete with the veterans at Dallas Athletic? As far as the roster goes, they need to add 2 big men. They also need to make sure Michael Thomas shows up to every game. He is a great point guard and they need him to keep their turnover rate much lower.

They also need consistency. Right now things are very sporadic when watching them play. I like to call it ping-pong basketball. One second they steal the basketball, the next second it gets chucked out of bounds. I’ll give it to them though, they have energy, they have fun, and they have their first victory of the season.

Word has it that they are buffing up their squad with some big guys coming straight out of high school, which means they will be conditioned and on their game. Bad news for us old guys who use the basketball games as our way to condition. But beware, 95% of the time, wisdom over youth always prevails. I’ve seen it happen a thousand times.

Also, a second young gun team from Highland Park is suiting up to make a statement. The team is being formed by Stevie Smathers, and I’m guessing that they will soon become No Doubt’s rivals. It will be an exciting game to watch and hopefully a long lived healthy rivalry.

Congrats No Doubt and we all look forward to seeing what your new team has to bring to the table come Spring Season.

Here are some notable performances from No Doubt:
Ryan Romo ($13.4M) – team leader in average points, rebounds, and steals per game.
Michael Thomas ($3.1M) – team leader in average assists per game.
Hunter Holmes ($5.3M) – team leader in average blocks per game.
Ben Siegel ($1.2M) – most assists on the team this season at 34.
