Finley for another 3!
The New Comers, once a free agent team scrapping for a couple wins, has transformed into something totally new. How did this happen...easy, they just added Michael Finley to the lineup! And yes, Finley brought the heat last night putting up 43 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 assists. With stats like that it's hard to lose a game.
Finley was hitting shots left and right, Maximus Kirk was taking it to the hoop, and the support of Dave Little, Jeremy Eaves, and Jeff Mathews is all they needed to bring another 'W' home.
I would also like to note that Alibi played the best they ever have last night. 89 is the most they have scored all season. They shot 41% from FG and 38% from 3pt. The team is starting to come together and last night they put up a good fight.
Now, can The New Comers compete for 1st place in this league? Hard to say as 6 O Clock is looking better than ever right now with a full SOLID squad that plays well together. I think TNC will have trouble down low. If they figure out a way to minimize Finley's scoring and stop Max from taking it to the hole then they will have the win...but come on, minimize Finley's scoring? It's worth a shot though. These two teams won't be seeing each other until playoffs, and it will be a good game to watch.
So...it's getting close to the end of the season. Time for my predictions on how it will all end up:
