MISSISSAUGA, ON: Game Notebook Week 8 | Its about that time

Its the last game of the regular season in Ultimate Hoops Mississauga and all teams came in the gym hungry! Like said last week a lot of teams are trying to climb out that last place spot to put them in a better position for the playoffs. Now the places are set and its going to be exciting in the playoffs.

Game 1 Force vs Gain
Game 2 Team Havoc
Game 3 ALL DAY vs Spartans

Game 1
The first game of the night was one thing.. Intense. The score was neck and neck all game long. Guys getting really emotional, foul outs, triple overteam, big three point shots. The crowd really enjoyed this game.

Force got it back together this game playing with great team chemistry this game. All players were included in their attempt to get this win. 4 of the 5 starters got in the double digits of points and they were really supportive of each other. Daniel Deflorimante had the most with 23 points but got fouled out in the 3rd overtime period. Abdu Casey also got fouled out which left only 4 of Force's on the floor which of course hurt them in the end.

Gains coming off a big win last week really brought the pressure to the Force this game. Players like Mohammed Sayeed, Kareem Toney, Mustafa Manzoor had great scoring performances. Mohammed had 27 points showing some advanced moves during gameplay, a recent selection to the Ultimate Hoops Toronto All Star Game. Gains are now 4th in the standings and will play Team Havoc in the first round of the playoffs, its going to be a good game. Gains beat Force 71 - 67.

Game 2
In the second game of the night Team Hacov and Renegades faced off which both are trying to get a better seed for the playoffs.

Renegades Elvis Hermiz and Bertrand Couture played well both scoring 12 points each bringing in a decent amount of offensive contribution for their team. Mark Burkett played real strong getting rebounds on defense and offensive finishing with 12 rebounds and 8 points. Renegades not having Jeremy is hurting them and is the only reason they are on this slope that they are currently in.

Team Havoc's Ashar Gul played great this game, bringing energy to his team and hitting key shots. He finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Patrick Marzouk played a solid game filling up the stat sheet and taking pride on defense, he finished with 11 points and 3 steals. Ahmed Haroon brought the most to the table scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and a couple steals and assists. That combine with Ahmed Abdelraouf's 14 rebounds it was too ahrd to beat Team Havoc this night. Team Hacov advances to the 5th seed in the playoffs. Team Havoc wins 66 - 46.

Game 3
The Big game of the night. UH Mississauga's current #1 and #2 team face of for what might've been a teaser for the Western Championships. It was neck and neck the whole game but certain factors made the difference in the end of the game.

Spartans played big this game. Jordan Nazarene and Youssef Daif had a 20 and 24 point game, both also dominating the boards combining with 20 of the teams total 32 for the game. Naji Mejalli did what he does best attacking the basket and creating and 1 opportunities for his team. Unfortunately there was one thing that hurt the Spartans severely this game. They were 6 - 24 for free throws shotting at 25% vs ALL DAY's 50%. They need to get in the gym and start working on those free throws before playoffs.

ALL DAY's Mr. Manuel Mendez went off this game. Repeating the great performance he had against Team Havoc in week 2 scoring 34 points and splashing it from the three, he repeated it this game. Manuel was 57% from the three taking smart and good shots and also got a couple steals, assists and rebounds. Ramy Mehany had a step up game this game after being absent for a while, but right in time for the playoffs. He had 16 points scoring 88% in fg% taking the highest percentage shots possible. Travis Francis also protected the paint like he always does finishing with 10 rebounds and 10 points. ALL DAY advance to the playoffs with the #1 spot and also take down #2 Spartans 72 - 65.
