AJAX, ON: Game Notebook Week 7 | Eastside Goodfellas are some good fellas

There a was a lot of stand outs and teams giving statements in the league. Over all however Eastside Goodfellas after a slump at the start of the season seem as they are not losing anymore currently on a 5 winning streak. With the upcoming playoffs and All Star Weekend players are starting to give everything they got and it shows on the stat sheet.

Game 1 - Eastside Goodfellas vs Durham Flight
Game 2 - Jumpmen vs Tough Juice
Game 3 - Red Hawks vs Soldiers
Game 4 - Team Dab vs The Defaz

Game 1
Eastside Goodfellas are onm a roll right now they are connecting at all cylinders and don't look like they'll have any trouble anytime soon. Durham Flight just got a big addition to the team Tyrell Atkins which was a star from last season.

Durham Flight's shot just weren't hitting. As a team they only shot at 34% from the field and 26% from the three. Tyrell Atkins and Bejun Dela Cruz had 14 and 15 respectively but were the only ones to hit double digits. Adnrew Clarke based on his skill set needs to do a lot better. He needs to bring it for the playoffs for sure.

Kevin Allen was a big key for his team protecting the paint, grabbing rebounds and also scoring. He had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Peter continues to play the leader roll hyping up his team and facilitating and also scoring when he needs to, he finished with 12 points himself. Lorrington Murray is always dropping big numbers and he had 26 this game. Lorrington is actually capable of scoring more then he does but he tends to step on the three point line which is one of jokes of the league and hes getting two points instead of three points. Hopefully he breaks the habit for playoffs where those points will matter most. Goodfellas beat Durham Flight 60 - 49.

Game 2
Jumpmen a team that was just recently last in he standings played against the number #1 team Tough Juice. Jumpmen really brought it this game and you can start to see that the Jumpmen are starting to play well with each other.

2nd Draft pick overall, Shaquille Francis is currently the highest in the Player Performance Rating he he proves it week after week. Even though he was playing the toughest team in the league he didn't care and went at his competition. Shaq had 30 points 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Newcomer Jermaine Jones is also starting to get a groove going and he scored 15 points in this contest.

Tough Juice we all know are some tough fellas. They out rebounded Jumpmen 40 - 24 and were just more aggressive. Andre Chung had 24 points, Jelani Daniel had 14 and Aiman Saleh even those he only played for 23 minutes had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Stanleigh Mitchell didn't score a lot but was aggressive inside and grabbed in 11 rebounds. Tough Juice's players all know how to use their indivual strengths and that makes them a strong team. Tough Juice defeat Jumpmen 65 - 56.

Game 3
Red Hawks played against one of the fastest teams in the leaghe The Soldiers. Even though Red Hawks lost their 1st round pick and big man Jeron Kerr they are still playing hard and maybe he can make a recovery in time for Playoffs.

Three of Red Hawks players played well and scored over double digits this game which was Brandon Blais, Mark Grizzle and Dominick Philippe, but it didn't seem their scoring ability was the problem it was their defense. Soldier's had 9 more defensive rebounds and 10 steals while Red Hawks had no steals. This hurt them especially the steals which most of the time converted into two points. Red Hawks need a vocal leader on the team to help keep them going. From the last couple games they start off fine and then start to lose it after unfortunate calls and frustration.

Soldier's captain Anthony Irispen played solid 18 points but the MVP of this game has to go to Leon Christopher who had 18 points as well but grabbed in 10 rebounds. He also slid in 5 assists as well to compliment his double double. Soldiers are a hard team to beat if you don't have someone playing safety and aren't running back on defense. These guys will run you out of the gym. Soldiers take it over Red Hawks 66 - 49.

Game 4
In the last game of the night Defaz had their star back from a slight injury Justin Wiltshire. Team Dab continue to try and find their flow and are always missing a quality player each week this week they were missing two.

Team Dab were missing Phil Levy and Harpinder Athwal this game. Richie Allen was able to get to the rim and hit his shots and finis with one shy of 20 points along with a couple rebounds and assists. Hopefully they're full team can be at attendance at the start of playoffs.

Defaz's Wiltshire brothers played really well this game. Lamont finshed scoring in the double digits with 10 points and a couple of rebounds and Justin had 18 points and 15 rebounds. Justin had a big game in his return to the league. Rajendra Singh also played great getting 10 rebounds as one of the shorter players and scoring 7 points. Defaz take down Team Dab 54 - 34.
