MISSISSAUGA, ON: Game Notebook Week 5 | Statements

Players and teams are starting to make statements as the league gets closer to its midway point. Teams are playing more and more team ball as the weeks go by as players are starting to know their teams better and the chemistry is rising.

Game 1 - Spartans vs Team Havoc
Game 2 - ALL DAY vs Gains
Game 3 - Renegades vs Force

Game 1
The very strong Spartans vs The newly strengthened Team Havoc everyone knew thios would be a good game and it certainly was. The entire game was neck and neck both teams brought their all. Late in second half Spartan's Youssef Daif got badly injured which hurt Spartans not having their main playmaker.

Team Havoc's Kobi Jones and Ashar Gul both played great scoring 18 points each and both fought for rebounds both having aboput 7-8 each. Omar Talaat also played good and made some key shots for the team.

Spartans despite their teammates injury had a lot of energy in this game. Jordan Nazarene does what he does best playing hard in the paint and on the perimeter on defense. He had 9 defensive rebounds and 4 steals. Naji Mejalli was the X factor of this game scoring 25 points all in the paint. Taking it to the lane again and again creatin plenty of and 1 opportunities. At the end of it Spartans beat Team Havoc in a close game 58 - 57.

Game 2
Undefeated ALL DAY faced up against Gains, which were a little this week due to missing two of their good players. That didn't stop Gains from competing though.

Kareem Toney was the high scorer for Gains. Hitting threes, contested mid range jumpers and transition buckets. Hew finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Right behind him was his teammate Mustafa Manzoor who finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

ALL DAY always playing great team ball and they show it again in week 5. They easily out rebounded and assisted Gains and almost all of their starting line scored in the double digits. Manuel Mendez had the best game hitting three three-pointers and finishing with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Big man Travis Francis had a solid game with a double double of 11 points and 12 rebounds./ ALL DAY defeat Gains 70 - 44.

Game 3
In our last game two of our biggest names went face to face. Renegade's Jeremy Alleyne and Force's Daniel Deflorimante. Force brought it to Renegades early in the first quarter giving them a 15+ Aat the end of the firs quarter.

Renegades continued to fight despite their bad start of the game. Elvis Hermiz stepped it up this game scoring 12 points grabbing 5 rebounds and played good defence with resulted to a couple steals. Jeremy finished with 36 points, 12 rebounds and 6 steals he was doing all he could to get back in the game which they came close only losing by 11 points.

The Force were feeling it this game especially from early on. Adbu Casey really showed what he can do going coast to coast and grabbing rebounds inside against bigger guys. Abdu had 20 points and 10 rebounds a great performance. Daniel Deflorimante had his usual 25+ point game last week finishing with 29 points. Daniel is starting to branch more into hyping up his teammates as well now and its working really well. Can't wait to see whats in store with the high chemistry team. The Force beat Renegades 74 - 63.
