ATLANTA, GA: Week 5 Preview | Is Gawd Squad Better Off With Recent Trade?

Before the trade deadline Gawd Squad made a blockbuster trade. They trade a good friend and reliable teammate Prince Kearney for Milic Zecevic. This could possibly be the move that they much needed, as this team is currently searching for answers. Gawd Squad is currently 1-3 on the season and is in jeopardy of missing out on the playoffs. We recently spoke with Prince Kearney about the recent trade.

Reporter: Hey, Prince! How do you feel about being the number #2 draft pick and being traded already half way through the season?

P. Kearney: I accept the new challenge, I have never been the one to cry about which team that drafts me and say I would hold out on my contract because I am unhappy. But I am cut from a different cloth.

Reporter: Is that comment referring to anybody in particular?

P. Kearney: I am just looking forward to gelling with my new teammates and help them get into the playoffs and win this championship.

Reporter: Rumor has it that you demanded this trade?

P. Kearney: To set the recored straight I was on the trading block ever since I was drafted. They wanted to trade me for Tribble Reese on draft day.

Reporter: Are you upset at the rumors that Frankie Ghouchani never wanted you on Gawd Squad?

P. Kearney: He said that? I thought Franky and I were cool. If that is the case, it wouldn't surprise me. He has been in a championship drought ever since he left my team in Enough Said. He will never win another championship in this league.

Reporter: There is also rumor that Frankie Ghouchani said that you are the reason they are currently 1-3 and that Gawd Squad should have never drafted you.

P. Kearney: I have played with these group of guys for quite a few years and when things tend to go in the wrong direction, players true feelings come out. I take it as motivation and look forward to my new teammates.

Reporter: What do you feel about Mike McCarthy stating to be careful what you ask for, in being traded.
P. Kearney: If Mike McCarthy feels that his team is better equipped without my talent than so be it. But like Drake says, “ I’m looking for revenge….playing dirty not clean….all summer 16 (laughing).”

Reporter: Buck Jenkins was your teammate in Enough Said, what do you feel his reaction would be with the trade.

P. Kearney: Buck is the ultimate role model and I am sure he understands that we all are just a business transaction. But he needs to watch his back, you never know what this team has up there sleeves.

Reporter: Now you know Frankie Ghouchani and Mike McCarthy are going to twist this around and make it seem as if they never wanted to trade you right?

P. Kearney: It’s funny that you say that because McCarthy did feed me that corporate nonsense. Gawd Squad is making all types of move to win again and I can’t blame them but they made the wrong move this time.

Reporter: I am looking forward to the revenge games when Team BG vs Gawd Squad play against each other Week 6. Get your popcorn ready!

Team Follies: -Doug Rhodes is coming off the worse season game in last week lost.
-David Votta is looking to bounce back from his shooting woes.
-Greg Little is looking to continue to dominate.

Free Agents: -Spencer Huffman is a star in the making in this league. He plays the game the right way.
-The Free Agent team needs to play zone in order to slow down anyone.

Gawd Squad vs. Mamba Out 8pm

Key Thoughts:

Gawd Squad: -This team must improve on the defensive end of the court
-Buck Jenkins needs to continue to be aggressive

Mamba Out:
-Was last week overtime win a fluke or is this team ready for the rest of the league?
-Will this team make the playoffs?

Team Zane vs Team BG 9pm

Key Thoughts:

Team Zane: - Can Marcus Brown continue to dominate the league?
- Is Team Zane a contender or pretender?

Team BG:
- Can this team gel together to get into the playoffs
- This team can cause a lot of problems for other team but will they expose that?
