Week 5 Power Rankings

1. GAME OVER (5-0, LW 1) – They had a double header last week and handled their business as they should. Although I expected HITTIN TRIPS to give them a better run, it’s clear that this team is head-and-shoulders ahead of everyone else in the league. The next couple of weeks will allow them to fine-tune their rotation for Vegas.

2. REGULATORS (3-1, LW 3) – They followed the previous week’s loss with a statement win in my opinion. They continue to battle out games and win out on hustle. They will continue to have a few minutes in lapses as their offense is not as consistent as I’d like them to be, but their fiery defense is what will keep them in their games this year.

3. HITTIN TRIPS (3-2, LW 2) – I talked about how last week’s game against GAME OVER was going to be a good measuring stick for this team. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite measure up for that game. I expected them to come out firing and keep the pressure up, but they just couldn’t get it going and fell behind early and often. Hopefully this was a wake up call for this group and they realize that they still have a ways to go if they want to get far in this league.

4. GRINDIN (1-3, LW 4) – Each and every one on this team can light it up, but they flat out don’t have a bench. They play with 5 each night and as everyone knows, you can get away with a win here and there, but it’s going to put a toll on this group. They let the ref’s get to them last game and the frustration showed. Winning will solve a lot of their problems, but they need to stop pressing so much and let the game come to them.

5. HEATWAVE (0-5, LW 5) – Their offense started to click a bit last week and put up some solid numbers across the board. They unfortunately don’t have the fire power to keep up with the best teams in the league. I expect them to sneak up on a team in the upcoming weeks and get a solid win.
