MISSISSAUGA, ON: Game Notebook Week 3 | Will Team Havoc step up?

Its week 3 at Ultimate Hoops Mississauga. Teams have been stamping their places in this league. It seems that Mississauga really punishes heavy for opposing teams mistakes which lead to large point gaps, teams have to get it together.

Game 1 - Team Havoc vs Renegades
Game 2 - Force vs The Gains
Game 3 - ALL DAY vs Spartans

Game 1
Team Havoc came out strong this game vs Renegades and made some noise early in the game. Later on, due to them only having 5 players they started to slow down. Omar Talaat and new big man Ahmed Abdelraouf played great contributing to points and points rebounds and assists. You can really tell in the middle of the 3rd quarter fatigue got to them, but Renegades weren't slowing down. Jeremy Alleyne had a fantastic game scoring 37 points 6 of which were three pointers. He also grabbed down 12 rebounds and had help from his guard Mark Burkett who had 13 points and 5 assists. team Havoc has to step it up if they are going to survive in this league lets what they bring to the table next week. Renegades beat Team Havoc 87 - 59.

Game 2
Gains started to have some trouble since their large guard Mohammed Sayeed got injured and seem to be on a little bit of a slope. Mustafa Manzoor and Kareem Toney played great both scoring 20+ points and staying on the boards, but they were the only solid contributors from their team this game. The Force did a great job utilizing everyone's strengths. All players had above double digits in scoring and despite of them only having 5 players this game they played smart by slowing it down and using their timeouts. Daniel Deflorimante had the most with 28 points and Paul Boychuk and Abdu Casey both had 10+ rebounds. After a slow start looks like Force are doing better and better each week lets see how they perform in week 4. Force defeat Gains 83 - 53.

Game 3
The last game was the most anticipated game of the night. Two of the most skilled teams faced off. The 1st half was full of competitiveness and teams neck and neck on the scoreboard. The 2nd half I wouldn't say the Spartans played worst but ALL DAY stepped it up a notch. Spartan's Naji Mejalli and Jordan Nazarene played great getting to the basket and making high percentage shots. Naji had a solid 20 points and Jordan finished with 1 shy of 30 and 10 rebounds. Jordan played hard and aggressive no matter what, even close to the end when there was a large score gap, he scored on top of the Player Performance Ratings because of it. ALL DAY have great team chemistry. Nathan Carter and Manuel Mendez are great at controlling their team and facilitating. Fady Kamel and Omar Naeem make great high percentage shot selections and Edrel Hernandez and Travis Francis battle at the boards creating second chance opportunities for their team. This team is a hard team to beat and I wonder who will pull it off. ALL DAY beat Spartans 77 - 59.
