ATLANTA, GA: Week 3 Preview | Things are starting to shape up

Team Follies vs. Known Shooters 7pm

Both of these teams are undefeated and are looking to prevail in tonights contest. I must say I am surprise that Team Follies is currently doing so well as of late. With the star performance of Greg “ Black Mamba” Little, this team is playing on a high level. Little is coming off a monster game last week ending in 33 pts and 13 rebs. He not only has put this team on his shoulders but Team Follies might repeat as champions if his play continues. I must be honest, I am still not a believer. Yes, I know Team Follies are currently the defending champs and yes they did beat my former team, Enough Said in the championship. The glaring question is if this team continues to have a lack of play from David “ This Is My League” Votta then they are in serious trouble. Votta had a horrendous and I do mean horrendous game last week scoring only 4 pts and shot an astonishing 13% from the field. This is uncharacteristic from this team leader and even though G. Little is playing at an All-Star level, this wave will not continue with the mediocre performance from his teammates.

Known Shooters is my preseason championship pick. They are solid in all directions starting with their true point guard Thomas “ The General ” Lemon. There are times that his stat line does not illustrate it but this team runs effectively when he is on the court. Last week Known Shooters got a major performance out of Jonathan “ Mr. Rookie” Goodson and Tony “ Mr. And 1” Neysmith, they both combined for 39pts and shot a combined 73% from the field. If Known Shooters continues to get a solid performance out of these two, they will be tough to handle. I am expecting a monster game out of T. Neysmith as he will be matched up against G. Little. These two stars both don’t back down from a challenge and I expect a 5 star performance out of these two. This is my Popcorn game of the night!

Prediction: Known Shooters by 5

Free Agents vs. Team BG 8pm

The Free Agents are looking to gel and see each others basketball abilities. I must say that Reginald Dodson as well as Anton Worrell both demonstrated that they belong in this league. Can anyone else step up to the plate from this Free Agent Team? I am calling out James Tallman, Asher Newman and Erick Wilson. Its time to shape up or shape out.

Now for Team BG this should be a game for them to gel and work on set plays. I am surprise that Bryan “Mr. Estate” Gates had only 10 pts in last week contest. This team is solid but can’t seem to put all of their components together to get their first win of the season. In tonights contest, this will hopefully be the starting point of a winning streak for Team BG. I expect a monster game out of Sepehr “ The Doctor Orders” Panah, it is your time to shine. This is my BBQ Chicken game of the night!

Prediction: Team BG by 40

Team Zane vs. Gawd Squad 9pm

I am calling out the number 1 draft pick, Tribble “ Mr. First Round” Reese. In last week performance Reese was in foul trouble and scored only 3 pts in the contest. This is not the results that your General Manager expected out of the overall #1 pick in the draft. I expect Reese to bounce back from last week lack of performance and finish off with 15pts and 9rebs in this weeks game. Team Zane is on panic alert, if they cannot get a better production out of each other then they will not get a win all season. Marcus “ 3X Champion” Brown was the only player in last weeks game for Team Zane to score in double figures. Can M. Brown get any help from his teammates? Its time to shape up or shape out

Gawd Squad as a team had a solid win last week and looks to be connecting at the right time of the season. Micheal “The Sleeper” Griffin had a big boy game with 22 pts and grabbed 9 boards. This team needs this production out of Griffin each and every week. The question remains can Griffin step up to the plate and produce on a more consistent bases? Gawd Squad as a team can be hit or miss. I am not sure which team will show up. If they continue to move the ball around and look for the open man, than this team can be dangerous. But if they play one on one ball and lack defensive intensity then they will be blow out by 30points. This is my spoiler alert game!
