SHELBY VET: Power Rankings | Thunder Red Hot | Nets Look For Third Straight Victory

Pistons Jason Sawinski, Mckinsey Golfin, at the free throw line with Bulls Marcus Anderson

1. Bulls (4-1) – Still one of the top teams in the league, they are 2nd in points and points allowed. Bill Treece has still prove that his acquisition has been a great asset to the Bulls. They are going up against the Nets, which will be a big game for both teams.

2. Thunder (4-1) On the rise, they have won four straight, and are one of the hottest teams in the league, 1st in points and 1st in assists. Shawn Graham leads the team with 20.6 points a game, while Deandre Cottrell leads team in rebounds with 8.6 and 6.2 assists a game. The team only has a roster of 5, but seem to manage just fine with little signs of slowing down.

3. Nets (3-2) They are 1st in points allowed, 1st in rebounds, and 1st in steals, they are defensive-minded team, with Vaughn Gray leading the team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals. He has been playing on a different level of late. It’s hard to slow him down, if he keeps rolling, the team is rolling, and they are adding more W’s to their list.

4. Pistons (2-3) Still need other players to help score on offense, Mckinsey Golfin averages 24.2 points a game. It will be much more difficult now for the Pistons, without Nicco Genova, who has been a solid defensive player for them. There are some obstacles in front of this team, it will be a good test for the Pistons.

5. Raptors (1-4) Jeff Wertz has been planning the best he can, coming of a 50 point performance and still getting an L, says a lot about the rest of the team. They need to pick up their performance, and play harder around Wertz.

6. Lakers (1-4) Lawrence Bienkowski is the bright spot for the Lakers, averaging almost 25 points a game and 9 rebounds. They are 3rd in points but dead last in points allowed. They will need to pick up the slack on the defensive side, if they want to get a win this week.
