WOODSTOCK/MOUNTAIN BROOK, GA: Week 3 Preview | No More Losses Looks to Find an Answer for Skyforce

Last season Skyforce was the only team to beat No More Losses with two wins in the regular season. Everyone expected a re-match for the Winter League championship, but Skyforce was upset in the semi-finals. Can No More Losses find a way to handle the inside presence of Skyforce?

Week 2 in Ultimate Hoops at Woodstock ended in dramatic fashion as the Hammers topped Skyforce in a triple overtime battle. Now I predicted an overtime game with Skyforce winning by 6 points, but I didn't see this type of rivalry being so explosive. Taylor Patterson nailed a long distance three point shot to put the Hammers on top with 4 seconds remaining. Skyforce had every opportunity to win this game, but Michael Leight's offensive foul opened the door and changed the pace of the game. These two teams are the fan favorites for a renewed Portland vs. Pistons championship battle type game, with elbows thrown and a bunch of trash talk. Week 3 presents new challenges for each team. Woodstock is looking to be one of the best leagues in Atlanta.

Other Guys Vs. Roswell Ballers 7PM

The Roswell Ballers received their first win last week, and added a few additional pieces to their roster. This is an interesting team that seems to have found the chemistry, but will a leader emerge out of the sea of calm waters? It only gets harder as they face the Other Guys, who suffered an upsetting loss against No More Losses last week. This game will be a very good one because the Roswell Ballers have picked up some hieght. They should have a size advantage inside tonight. However, muscle seems to be able to chop down any size tree, and Austin Cheatum will not back down from the challenge.

Prediction: Other Guys by 15 points

No More Losses Vs. Skyforce 8PM

After losing to the Hammers in a dramatic triple overtime battle, Skyforce faces another tough team in No More Losses. Who will lead the scoring charge as William Bristow will not play after suffering from a late game injury? Jarret Hinton will need to handle the load as floor general if Skyforce has a chance to defeat David Votta in another highly anticipated battle. The defending champs are at the top of the standings sending yet another message to their competitors.

Predictions: No More Losses by 8 points

Hammers Vs. South Beach Bombers 9PM

With all the momentum in their favor, South Beach Bombers may not stand a chance as Taylor Patterson leads the charge looking for win number two. Are the Hammers back? Will Taylor Patterson lead the league in scoring and wins this season, or was the last game a fluke? We will see as we get closer to the end of the regular season. Until then, South Beach Bombers appears to have another problem on their hands.

Predictions: Hammers win by 20 points.
