ALPHARETTA, GA: Opening Night | Who is Atlanta's Top Team?
It's time to defend their title.
It’s opening night in Alpharetta, and we are starting things off with the matchup of the year thus far. The night opens at 5pm with the battle of the reigning Alpharetta champions, Enough Said, versus the reigning Sugarloaf champions the Spartans. Tonight will answer the question on who is the current king of Ultimate Hoops in Atlanta.
The Spring 2015 league in Alpharetta is loaded with talented teams. I don’t think we have seen this much parody in our league in years. Every team has reloaded with new talent to see if they can take down the champions. The big question this season is can Enough Said defend their championship or will a new team be raising a banner this July?
Enough Said vs. Spartans 5PM
This is the game that everyone has been waiting for. The Spartans have stepped up and taken the challenge of bringing their game over to Alpharetta, and their first game here won’t be easy. Coming off their first Alpharetta championship, Enough Said brings back their entire team, and they are looking to raise another banner. Chad Cribs of Enough Said is feeling very confident this year and has basically guaranteed a repeat.

Max Contracts vs. The Late Starters 6PM
Max Contracts isn’t used to losing. After losing their only two games last season to Enough Said, they come into Spring season looking to get back on top. Greg Barlow is still injured, but eyeing a return midseason. The big news is whether holdout Ashley Olinger will show up to tonight’s game. There are rumors of his retirement, but no official announcement has been made. After their first season, The Late Starters are looking to continue the growth of their chemistry. If they can find a way to play together, they will be a tough win for anyone.

Team Follies vs. The Mumford Returns 7PM
There is only one important storyline for this game. The veteran Ryan Mumford is returning to Ultimate Hoops. After taking a short hiatus to find himself, Ryan is back and looking to add to some already impressive career numbers. His first game back will be a familiar one playing against his old teammates David Votta, David Graham, and Douglas Rhodes. Mumford should find out tonight if he is in game shape, or if he needs to get back in the gym a little more often.
