COMMERCE, MI REC: Which Team Will Remain Perfect
Darius Smith Watches His Team Going To Work
We are only 2 weeks into this young season but it’s already shaping up to be one of the strongest seasons in quite some time. We have 3 teams that are undefeated, 1 has won multiple championships, the other has made it to the championship, and the last team has only been to the semi finals. These teams are none of than defending champions C4, Sons Of Basketball, and Weekend Warriors.
Sons Of Basketball - They are one of those teams you can count on to be good early on in the season, but around the midway point they just fade away and become a .500 team. Right now they are currently 2-0, and looking at their remaining schedule things only get tougher. They play C4 this upcoming week, and usually after they play them every season their season takes a turn. It turns for the worst that is. In the past 2 seasons after they have played C4 they are only 1 game under .500 after starting the season with a record of at least 4-0. Will this game determine the fate of their season?
Weekend Warriors - They have one of their strongest teams they have assembled thus far. They have added a prolific scorer in McKinsey Golfin and super athletic swingman Darryl Foster. These 2 players are something this team might have been missing for a long time. Someone who can create their own shot off the dribble and who can create easier looks for all the shooters they posses. If everyone on the team can stay healthy, they have a very strong shot at winning their first championship.
C4 - What else is there really to be said about them? This is a team who has kept the same core together for many seasons and they have won about 7 championships. Everyone in the league knows what they do and how they are going to do it, but yet they have not been stopped. This season from top to bottom could be some of the hardest competition this team has faced. With a veteran team like theirs, I’m sure they will figure out how to get through this season and try to defend their title once again. Their x-factor is Waleed Salman is not playing this season due to an Achilles injury, but they have managed to do just fine without him going back to the playoffs of last season. If everyone stays healthy we could see a repeat.
The only question left to ask is out of these 3 teams, who will remain perfect for the remainder of the season?
