SHELBY REC: Power Rankings Week 2

Recreational League Power Rankings

1. Performance Fiberglass (2-0) – They continue their good play on the court. Its looks as though they are going to be a high output offense, but might struggle on defensive. Golfin and Treece will definitely make a case for best duo in the league. But for now they will hold on to the top spot.

2. House of Skills (2-0) – HoS jumps up a spot after a spectacular performance against their arch rival YLie. Although it was not the YLie that we are used to seeing, it still was a dominating performance. Gray and Olley are a great one-two punch. They definitely will be hard to stop.

3. Bad Intentions (1-1) – Bad Intentions drops a spot after a not so good game in week two. There jury is still out as this team as they are just like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The non-chemistry and trust in teammates reared its ugly head last week during a close match-up. I do not know if they will hold through the season.

4. YLie (1-1) – It will most likely be a very frustrating season for YLie as they are used to being on top or at the very least a top contender. With all the new faces and inexperience on the court, the trio of Stephens, Brown, and Jordan will have to carry the entire load. Last week should be a good reminder to them that it is all up to the trio on how well they do this season.

5. Walk-on’s (0-2) – This is by far the best 0-2 team I have witnessed in a while. They are very talented and athletic. They downfall for them is going to be the leadership and experience. They need to know how to close out games in the end. This team could easily be 2-0 right now.

6. Mountain Moon Shooters (0-2) – Well where do I begin. MMS still has not found their identity on the court. They have too many captains and not enough private’s. Everybody wants to be the man and nobody wants to play a role. Each guy needs to look at themselves in the mirror and find out what it is they do best that can help the team win. Otherwise they will become a scrimmage team for other teams to practice on new plays and sets.
