SHELBY REC: YLie and Skillz Spoil Debuts| Performance edge out Bad Intentions.
Fall season is underway at Shelby Lifetime as we kick off a brand new season. YLie spoiled Mountain Moon Shooters debut with a dominating victory. Johnnie Brown, Tyrone Jordan, and Henri Davidson were the starts of that victory. All three of them combined for remarkable 82 points. They also dominated off the boards grabbing 21 offensive rebounds amounting to great second chance points. Mountain Moon Shooters, are playing with 6 first time ultimate hoop players, as they try to get a chemistry going next week, but for now, Ylie looked good shooting the ball, and will face their first challenge next week against Skillz.

Walk-Ons also making their ultimate hoops debut, played solid against Skillz, the game was tied at 61 points in the second half, but Skillz found a way to separate themselves in to a big victory over the young squad. Vaughn Gray dished out 12 assists. All players were in double digit scoring. For the Walk-Ons any positives coming out of this game, would be their rebounding, they grabbed 36 boards and not giving up second chance points to a very talented Skillz team. Chemistry will have to develop amongst these young group of guys if they have any chance of succeeding in this league.

It was an edgy game between Bad Intentions and Performance Fiber Glass, a close one throughout. Bill Treece scored 26 points as he led the way for Performance. Both teams known for their shooting capabilities, didn’t have a high percentage, as both teams were under .50 percent shooting. Never the less, one team made more than the other ultimately, and Performance came through at the end of the game to hang on against Bad Intentions.
