SHELBY OPEN: White Out Seizes The Moment | Brian Olley named Most VauuablePlayer
After a long summer season, it is summer sadness for Vaughn Gray and Skillz as they fall to White Out in the championship game. White Out was impressive throughout, their stats show out. Shooting .74 percent from the field, and out rebounding their opponent by 19, White Out came, saw and conquered Brian Olley had another awesome game, racking in 21 points and grabbing 12 boards, Brent Wichtner had 20 points, and my x-factor for this game was Drew Schneider and he didn’t disappoint. He had 20 points and 9 boards as he had one of his finest performance so far this past season. Ryan Nelson still banged up from his injury weeks ago, play a nice role finding his teammates with 8 assists. For Skillz it is a tough to swallow, couldn’t penetrate the defense and get to the rim. White out forced Skillz to beat them with jump shots, and it didn’t work out so well, shooting 13 out of 36 from beyond the arc. White Out played well late in the season, got into the playoffs as they were fighting Performance and Y-Lie to stay in. Brian Olley rose and played a pivotal role.
Brian Olley in his last four games average 26.5 points, ultimately winning the championship for White-Out, with a extraordinary play, and defensive presences as well, Brian Olley is the Most Valuable Player of the Summer 2014 Open League at Shelby Lifetime.
