MONTVALE, NJ: Week 5 Power Rankings | Undefeated RUNt Still Peaking?

We are halfway home after Week Five of summer league play concluded Wednesday night. That means it’s time for some Power Ranking fun.

From best to worst, here ya go…

1. RUNt (4-0) – For those of you who haven’t been paying any attention at all, the lone undefeated sits at the top. Each win has come by at least eight points, and with four new team members this season, this unit is only going to get better the longer they play together. They locked up the #1 spot after beating the Dream Team last week with a short-handed squad.

2. Dream Team (3-1) – Second is definitely the spot for these guys at the moment. They have the second-best record and are behind only RUNt in both points per game and points allowed. They definitely have some interesting players and shooters, but do they have enough offensive weapons? Do they rely too much on the three-ball?

3. Team Justin (2-2) – The definition of a middle-of-the-pack team. Two wins, two losses, 48 points per game, 48 points against per game. Bet you can guess who their two losses came to… RUNt and Dream Team. They certainly have room to move up, however. Top scorer Justin Leon has missed two games thus far.

4. Team Randy (1-3) – Yes! They proved they are not cellar-dwellers with an emphatic win over the Ferrall Ballerz a few weeks back. They may only shoot 28% from the field, but guess what…these guys lead the league in rebounding by a comfortable margin. Can’t wait for next week’s matchup between Randy and RUNt.

5. Ferrall Ballerz (0-4) – Last and most certainly least. They score the fewest points per game, get to the line the least, and have the fewest rebounds and assists. Two games ago, the Ballerz gave up 20 offensive rebounds to Randy (now we know why Team Randy is tops in the league on the glass). Can’t wait to see what’s next for these guys.
