COMMERCE, MI REC: Mid-Way Season Thoughts
Phillip Nelson Informing His Team That They Need To Pull It Together
We are already at the half way point in the season and we will take a look at our teams and players and make some predictions on playoff spots. We have a 4 way tie for first place for the first time in at least the last 4 seasons. Usually that top spot is the defending champion C4, who just lost their first game last Thursday night. The four teams dead locked at 3-1 are the following:
Sons of Basketball, Elite Hit Squad, One Under, and C4.
The 2nd spot belongs to Rent- A- Bounce who sits alone at 2-1, while the Weekend Warriors and Dat Aint Fair share the 3rd spot at a record of 2-2 and the Detroit Ballers round out the potential top 8 spots for the playoffs.
In the top 4 spots, there is no surprise that we see familiar faces at the top yet again with C4 and Elite Hit Squad. Those two teams have plenty of history with each other after facing off against each other in the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 seasons.
Sons of Basketball is on the top of the standings for the first time in a very long time. With a revamped roster this squad looks to keep the top spot going towards the playoffs. Lastly, we have the new kids on the block One Under, ran by GM Mike Welsh. Welsh played in first UH season in the spring decided to start his own team, and they are off to a great start thus far. They look to keep winning to have a top 4 spot going into the playoffs.
With that said I predict the final standings will look like this:
1. C4 (7-1)
2. Rent- A- Bounce (6-2)
3. One Under (5-3)
4. Elite Hit Squad (5-3)
5. Weekend Warriors (5-3)
6. Dat Aint Fair (4-4)
7. Sons Of Basketball (4-4)
8. Detroit Ballers (2-6)
