MONTVALE, NJ: Week 7 Power Rankings - Who Stands Alone? (Good and Bad)
Red Alert: Team Randy is all sorts of wrong
With just two more weeks of regular season play, it’s time to rank the field. Thankfully, we can say goodbye to the bottom-feeders in a very short time.
From 1-7, here is the list:
1. Young Gelt Militia (6-0) – No surprise here. They haven’t lost, already beat last season’s champs, and won their last two with shorthanded squads, including last night’s 11-point victory over Ferrall Ballerz.
2. Old School (5-1) – Only one loss…to YGM. In all their wins there were no close calls. And yeah, they are still the defending champs.
3. RUNt (4-2) – This aptly-named club is making a late-season push. Four wins in a row. If they can play a close one (or pull out a win) vs. YGM next week, start taking notice. Stay focused boys. You may just have the most talent in the league.
4. Just the Tip (2-4) – This team is better than their record. They’ve played some tough, close games. The league leaders in scoring shouldn’t be taken lightly. Consider it a moral victory that they only lost to YGM and Old School by a combined 9 points.
5. Justin (2-4) – A very shaky squad. The only two teams they beat are #6 and #7 on this list. Haven’t scored more than 41 points in the last three weeks. An 83-38 loss to Just the Tip doesn’t help. Sure they were short-handed, but they still looked awful.
6. Ferrall Ballerz (2-4) – We’ve already spent too much time talking about them. In most leagues, they’d be dead last, but not here. That’s because there’s…
7. Randy (0-6) – Yikes. Winless. No real team name. Hey, they were up 10 at the half vs. RUNt on Wednesday. Then they were scared by Tommy Stanley and a full court press. Just ask Tommy. Dude means business. And Randy has no business being anywhere but last on this list.
